The EU4Digital Facility will organise a large-scale event on digital skills from 27-29 October. The ‘Digital Skills Forum’ aims to bring together representatives from all six Eastern partner countries, and will provide valuable international best practices important in the field of digital skills, workforce up-skilling and re-skilling and the management of National Coalitions for Digital Skills and Jobs.
The first day of the Forum will focus on setting clear goals for running and managing national digital skills initiatives as well as operationalising the work of National Coalitions and organising a Q&A session for any open questions that the Eastern country representatives might have regarding the value and practical side of National Coalitions. Forum participants will be able to learn best practices on Digital skills strategy development and National Coalition coordination directly from several EU MS National Coalition coordinators, including Austria, Italy, Ireland and others.
The second day of the Forum will be dedicated to workforce skills, including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on digital skills requirements. Participants will gain valuable insights on best practices for workforce up-skilling and re-skilling and practical aspects of the Digital Competence Framework for SMEs and Microbusinesses in the Eastern Partner Countries developed by the EU4Digital Facility. During this day, a workshop will be organised for the countries to present and discuss their initiatives for dealing with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
On the last day of the Forum,a virtual study visit to Ireland will be organised where members of the Irish National Coalition will present their digital skills initiatives as well as the background and practical aspects of the National Coalition.Registration to the Forum will be open until 26 October and can be accessed here.
