Digital Skills Network meets virtually to discuss priorities for upcoming events and digital skills promotion activities
Date: 07/05/20
The EU4Digital Digital Skills Network met virtually on 29 April 2020 to discuss priorities for upcoming events (trainings, conferences, study visits), a digital skills promotion campaign and development of the Digital Skills Competence Framework for micro, small and medium sized enterprises (MSMEs) supported by the EU4Digital Facility.
Participants discussed training, conference and study visit topics such as digital skills for Industry 4.0, digital competence frameworks, management of National Coalitions for Digital Skills and Jobs and lessons learned from the Covid-19 crisis. Possible alternatives to face-to-face events were also considered in case Covid-19 related restrictions would impact planned events, such as online trainings and conferences.
The Network also discussed plans to carry out a digital skills promotion campaign in Eastern partner countries during 2021, as well as priorities for the development of a Digital Competence Framework for MSMEs.
The EU4Digital Digital Skills Network serves as platform for sharing best practices and experiences among the six Eastern Partner countries and with the EU, promoting synergies and developing ideas for joint harmonisation projects. The EU4Digital Programme supports the Network through a number of activities, including organisation of trainings, conferences and study visits to EU Member States for policy makers and training providers, implementation of a promotion campaign and the development of a Digital Competence Framework for MSMEs.
