Date: 19/11/21
On November 9, the Asset Performance Management (APM) conference was organised for the Eastern partner (EaP) countries by the Association of Industrial Automation of Ukraine (APPAU) to share knowledge and hear the best international practices for the industry development.
The main objective of the conference, hosted by APPAU, was to understand the gaps between the practices in the EU and EaP countries, as well as to determine the directions of development in the transition from elementary level APM to APM 4.0 in the EaP countries.
The initiative was supported by EU4Digital, represented by Ruta Salvyte-Tamosiuniene, Deputy Team Lead of the EU4Digital Facility. During the opening of the conference, the EaP participants were called to actively collaborate and share experience in a newly established community – the EU4Digital Smart Industry Community Space. The community is specifically dedicated for the field experts from the EaP countries and powered by the EU initiative I4MS. In addition, EU4Digital promoted the recommendations and specific policy implementation action plan in the area of the digital transformation of SMEs in traditional sectors, among other policy areas.
The conference gathered many different industry leaders, service developers, and experts in the field from Ukraine and the EU, who shared successful business cases, new trends and discussed service-based business models and ways to faster transition to advanced APM.
The event helped to share experience, the best EU and Ukrainian practices in a smart industry area. Thus, the practical understanding on new technologies were improved within the wider EaP community as well as contributed to the goal of scaling the development of industrial SMEs.To read more about the conference, including speakers presentations and conclusions, find the article in Ukrainian here.
