Digital transformation of public services is a global trend. Governments are actively implementing Govtech initiatives — technological solutions that make state functions more efficient and the lives of citizens easier.
According to the results of research into the global market for Govtech solutions, the following new trends are observed:
Hyper-automation – according to Gartner, 75% of governments will have at least three hyper-automation initiatives in the next three years.
Modernisation of state IT infrastructure to improve work efficiency.
Cybersecurity – government institutions must maintain the security and trust of citizens in the digital space.
Digital currencies – the use of cryptocurrencies will increase operational efficiency and help fight corruption.
Digital identification – some countries already have a simple identification process and have implemented digital ID cards that sometimes include biometric verification.
Artificial intelligence technologies for interaction with citizens – governments will increasingly use AI-based applications to automate public services.
This research was presented by the audit and consulting company Kreston Ukraine with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the Office of Reforms of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and ISE Corporate Accelerator.
The analysis includes regional market features, the investment landscape and the competitive environment. The presentation also focused on the Govtech situation in Ukraine.
