The Eastern Partnership (EaP) stakeholders online meeting on 21 April aims at presenting the progress and outcomes of the work performed on the objectives of setting up independent National Regulatory Authorities (NRAs) in the Eastern partner countries and harmonising digital environments, such as broadband infrastructure.
The meeting will address topics such as institutional independence, the authority and the specific responsibilities of NRAs, alongside mechanisms for monitoring and evaluating the broadband state-of-play in order to enable the development of a resilient and future-proof infrastructure, promoting investments and competition in the Eastern partner countries’ national markets.
The participants will be presented with the work that has been completed by the EU4Digital Facility in close partnership with Eastern Partnership Electronic Communications Regulators Network (EaPeReg), and the further steps related to the above-mentioned objectives.
The event is organised by the Independent Regulators and Broadband Expert Working Group (IRB EWG) of the EaPeReg and supported by the European Commission.
