Innovation start-up grants in Georgia: apply before 27 December

Small enterprises in Georgia have until 27 December to apply start-up grants financed by Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA).

The objective of the programme is to stimulate innovation and the creation of innovative enterprises in the Georgian economy through the development and commercialisation of Innovative products and services with a potential for internationalisation.

The start-up co-financing grants are for private and small enterprises incorporated in Georgia within the last two years. Natural persons can also submit the application, but if selected, will be required to register a legal business unit prior to contract signing.

The financing awarded by GITA through the Start-up Co-financing Grants can cover a maximum of 90% of the applicant’s total approved project budget for a one-year period, up to GEL 100,000. A minimum of 10% of the project budget must be secured in cash by the applicant or from other private sources.
