The Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI) is a composite index that summarises relevant indicators on Europe’s digital performance and tracks the evolution of EU Member States in digital competitiveness.
The DESI Index addresses five main areas, Connectivity, Human capital, Use of internet, Integration of digital technology, and Digital public services.
The DESI 2020 reports are based on 2019 data and assess the status of the digital economy and society prior to the coronavirus pandemic.
