EU4Digital experts have developed this document as part of the cross-border eTrade activity of the EU4Digital Facility eTrade thematic area.
The eDelivery pilot is a starting point to set and test the initial base for invoice data exchange via the eDelivery channel. It is foreseen that the pilot will be followed by recommendations regarding the required legal, organisational and technical adjustments to be made for full scale solution implementation and further scale-up in the Eastern Partnership and beyond.
The document:
- defines the particularities of the pilot such as the technical specifications and standards applied during the implementation of the pilot;
- provides a detailed overview of the pilot’s concept, testing environment, scope, infrastructure, key participants, as well as timeline and outputs;
- provides an overview of European good practices of eInvoicing implementation – including Norway and Denmark cases of eInvoice usage in the procurement process;
- introduces the importance of national legislation amendments required for eInvoice and eDelivery standards to be adopted and legally bound.
