A draft roadmap for boosting the process of digitization of the Moldovan economy and the development of electronic commerce, prepared by the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, was presented on 27 July.
Minister Sergiu Railean said the COVID-19 pandemic had highlighted several challenges in the interaction between government and business, and business and consumers.
“We considered it appropriate to develop a roadmap with immediate measures, and not a long-term strategy, which would take longer to develop and approve,” the minister said.
The roadmap provides for 37 actions, which, if necessary, will be updated and supplemented with new actions.
Minister Sergiu Railean said the government would set up a working group to monitor the implementation of the actions in the roadmap.
