A workshop on ‘Issues related to Roam Like at Home (RLAH) and National Roaming’ will take place in Riga, Latvia on 26 November 2019. The event will be organized by Sabiedrisko pakalpojumu regulēšanas komisija (SPRK) as a Vice-Chair of the EaPeReg Network (Eastern Partnership Electronic Communications Regulators Network) and as a host party, with the support of the European Commission.
The issue of international mobile roaming is one the most interesting and highly discussed within the EU and the Eastern Partnership (EaP) community. The problem of excessive roaming tariffs in EaP countries has yet to be resolved and its causes remain poorly explained. During the workshop, participants will discuss RLAH and National Roaming, including fraud in roaming and other challenges and problems.
The European Union’s EU4Digital initiative supports efforts to achieve a common roaming space among Eastern Partner countries by 2020.
