European Innovation Council Info Day gathers innovative Armenian companies

Innovative Armenian companies gathered in Yerevan on 5 December 2023 for the European Innovation Council Info Day. The organisation presented its main activities, interests and support mechanisms. The programmes of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia to create favourable conditions for innovative companies were also presented.
The European Innovation Council Info Day aimed to promote knowledge exchange and the sharing of insights within the innovation ecosystem, and the exploration of opportunities offered by the organisation.
Gevorg Mantashyan, First Deputy Minister, gave remarks as part of the event opening and expressed appreciation for the support of the European Commission, stressing that Armenia is a reliable partner for the European Union.

The European Innovation Council (EIC) was established under the EU Horizon Europeprogramme, which includes 5 Eastern partner countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. It has a budget of €10.1 billion to support game-changing innovations throughout the lifecycle from early stage research to proof of concept, technology transfer, and the financing and scale up of start-ups and SMEs.
The 2024 EIC Work Programme will be presented in a full-day online event on 15 January 2024 dedicated to potential applicants, together with an overview of achievements under the previous work programmes.
