Date: 14/04/22
The EU4Digital Facility organised a virtual study visit on digital skills to Belgium on 28 March.
During the study visit, participants from Eastern partner countries were able to learn from best EU practices on organising and coordinating digital skills initiatives, re-skilling and up-skilling workforce and activities carried out by ALL DIGITAL, a leading pan-European association based in Brussels, representing member organisations across Europe that work with 25,000 digital competence centres.
The Study Visit was structured in two main parts: presentation of best digital skills practices employed in Belgium, and a presentation of the newly released DigComp 2.2. Competence Framework.
During the first part, Eastern partner country representatives were able to gain insights on:
Digital skills initiatives and events carried out by ALL DIGITAL;

The Belgian Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition and DigiSkillsBelgium.be;
Supporting people to develop 21st century skills;
Support provided to STEM academies and initiatives in Flanders.
During the second part, Eastern partner country representatives joined a presentation on the updated DigComp 2.2. Competence Framework that was presented by members of the EC, JRC and ALL DIGITAL and provided the attendees with an overview of the updates to the Framework and their practical implications.
