EU supports new Moldova e-Monitoring system for policy implementation reform
Date: 13/11/23
The process of drafting, monitoring and reporting the implementation of public policy documents in the Republic of Moldova will be digitalised and become more efficient. The Government of Moldova, with EU support, has initiated this digital transformation and, on 8 November 2023, approved the concept of an ’e-Monitoring’ information system that will serve as a common digital platform for public authorities in the country.
The e-Monitoring system will be developed using cutting-edge technological solutions and ensure an increase in the speed of data exchange and processing. The new tool will allow real-time monitoring of the implementation process regarding national commitments and those related to association with the European Union. In this way, this development will support the realisation of Moldova’s European integration agenda.
With the new system in place, the transition from traditional ways of manual document processing to extensive digitisation will be ensured. Simplifying processes and reducing bureaucracy will contribute to more efficient implementation of public policies and, as a result, to improving the quality of life of Moldova’s citizens.
