European Peace Facility cyber classroom opens for Ukraine’s Armed Forces
Date: 26/10/23
A cyber classroom for the cyber defence units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was opened at the beginning of October 2023. This is part of the European Union supported European Peace Facility (EPF) assistance measure implemented by the Estonian e-Governance Academy (EGA).
The classroom contains 15 workstations and necessary equipment for training and exercises on cyber defence-related topics. In addition to the cyber class, a cyber lab is available to practice adequate and timely responses to cyberattacks, set up in 2022. Moreover, the European Peace Facility cyber project provides the Ukrainian Armed Forces with additional equipment and training sessions to counteract cyberthreats.
Within the past 18 months the EGA has procured, set up, installed and configured cybersecurity equipment and security hardware and software for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and conducted related training. The cyber lab and related training were delivered jointly with CybExer Technologies.
