Moldova aims for Digital State: 2023-2030 Digital Transformation Strategy
The Cabinet of Ministers in the Republic of Moldova has approved the Digital Transformation Strategy for 2023-2030. The approval, in early September 2023, is a significant step as the strategy sets out a comprehensive vision for the country’s digital development. The strategy centres on alignment with the European integration agenda and focuses on citizens' needs.

EU4Digital report: latest EU eCommerce updates, trends and cooperation opportunities
EU4Digital Facility has published an updated report on the EU baseline for eCommerce in the Eastern Partnership (EaP). The report provides an overview of cross-border eCommerce in the European Union and EU best practices and norms as a benchmark for assessing the Eastern partner countries’ cross-border eCommerce. The report analyses three key areas - legal framework, standards and the eCommerce ecosystem.

EU4Digital eCommerce accelerator kicks off National Pavilion Account pilot

The personal touch: Ukrainian wood company polishes its eCommerce strategy
“Wood is the all-time best material for making goods,” says Volodymyr Popovych, founder of ‘LIGNO’ in Western Ukraine. His company specialises in making wood products mostly from beech, oak, ash, maple, alder and walnut. It produces and sells everything from basic kitchenware and tiny accessories to furniture and building materials. These products have already been available on the EU marketplace, but, thanks to personalised support offered in the EU4Digital eCommerce consultations centre, LIGNO has polished up its eCommerce strategy and aims to carve out a larger slice of the market.

Successful Ukraine-Romania eCustoms pilot enhances trade facilitation
The State Customs Service of Ukraine and the Romanian Customs Authority have completed a successful eCustoms pilot to enhance the facilitation of trade. They tested the exchange of electronic data at the Porubne-Siret border crossing point during 19-26 June 2023. The successful cooperation was closely supported by the EU4Digital Facility, the EU Advisory Mission (EUAM) and the Directorate General Taxation and Customs Union (DG TAXUD). EU4Digital organised a post-pilot conference on 7 July 2023 with all the parties, to conclude the pilot, discuss results and start planning the next steps.

Invitation to Ukrainian SMEs: apply for ITC-supported EU4Digital eCommerce training!
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Ukraine are invited to apply for supported participation in the EU4Digital eCommerce consultations centre programme. Following the success of an initial collaboration between EU4Digital Facility and the International Trade Centre (ITC) to support these activities, the organisations are delighted to announce renewed cooperation. As a result, there is a new opportunity for 11 more Ukrainian companies to benefit from eCommerce training and consultations.
