The IT sphere is a national priority for the development of Belarus, Belarusian Prime Minister Sergei Rumas told the Digital Future of the Global Economy forum in Almaty on 31 January, the BelTA news agency reported.
“With the ambitious goal of creating an IT country, we took up the challenge of rebuilding the economy and putting it on a digital track,” said SergeiRumas, adding Belarus had developed infrastructure for the transmission, storage and processing of data in accordance with international standards, identification mechanisms, and modern means of protecting information.
