Georgia’s National Communications Commission has published a set of ‘Recommendations for Conditions of National Roaming and Mobile Virtual Network Operator Access’, developed under an agreement between the Commission and PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory LLC.
The purpose of the document is to establish fair and non-discriminatory terms and conditions for national roaming and mobile virtual network operators, and to develop recommendations for the Communications Commission that might lead to the adoption of further regulations.
Under its EU4Digital Initiative, the European Union supports efforts to achieve a common roaming space among Eastern Partner countries by 2020, to strengthen the independence of National Regulatory Authorities, and to develop coordinated strategies for frequency distribution.
