DESI is used to summarise indicators on Europe’s digital performance and to track the progress of EU countries. The new recommendations are based on the existing status of data collection related to DESI indicators in Eastern partner countries. The specific needs and priorities expressed by the stakeholders in Eastern partner countries are the cornerstone of the methodological recommendations.
The analysis focuses on three main aspects: (1) cross-country analysis of the DESI indicators currently collected in Eastern partner countries; (2) current state of play in each of the Eastern partner countries; (3) country-specific recommendations for further implementation of measurements for DESI indicator monitoring.
This document has been produced as part of the EU4Digital Facility ‘DESI Accelerator’ activity. The overall goal of the activityis to facilitate and support the implementation of DESI in the Eastern partner countries, e.g., through data collection and analysis of current practices regarding DESI indicator collection and measurement in the Eastern partner countries.
