Ukraine approves resolution for launch of ‘Mriya’ educational app
Date: 20/03/24
Ukrainian government ministers supported a resolution that allows the launch of the educational mobile application ‘Mriya’. The app aims to provide all citizens with equal access to knowledge and will allow children, parents and teachers to navigate a modernised and more effective process for education.
‘Mriya’, Ukrainian for ‘Dream’, application is a digital solution for teaching and learning. In addition to providing online resources, it will use artificial intelligence technology to reduce the workload of teachers and to provide personalised learning for students. The app will also help automate the management of educational institutions to enhance their security and ability to communicate with the State.
The resolution approves regulations for implementing the first stage of ‘Mriya’ and determines the following features that will be available in the application:
student profile with skill development programmes and success scale;
multimedia educational materials;
collection, processing, accumulation, transmission and display of data about the educational process;
Mriya-ID, a unique educational document, equivalent to a student ID.
Educational managers were invited to register to participate in piloting the project. The pilot scheme is planned to begin in typical schools by the end of the current (2023-2024) academic year. After successful implementation, it will be rolled out in all educational institutions across Ukraine.
