• Telecom Rules

Through the EU4Digital Initiative, the EU supports efforts to reduce retail prices of mobile services for citizens roaming in the Eastern Partnership (EaP) region, as well as to promote affordable access to high-speed and secure connectivity.

• eTrust and Cross-border Digital Services

Through the EU4Digital Initiative, the EU supports the development of mutually recognised and secure electronic identification and digital trust services across the Eastern Partnership (EaP) and with the EU.

• eTrade

Through the EU4Digital Initiative, the EU supports efforts to increase the volume of cross-border trade and the speed of physical and digital processes and transactions, and to harmonise the use of digital enablers, standards, and work practices among Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries and with the EU.

• ICT Innovation and Start-up Ecosystems

Through the EU4Digital Initiative, the EU aims to connect Eastern Partnership (EaP) innovation and start-up ecosystems to EU networks and close gaps between the two ecosystems to support innovation and start-ups, drawing on EU best practices, principles and standards.

• eHealth

Through the EU4Digital Initiative, the EU supports the creation of a foundation for harmonised digital health development and cross-border services among Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries and with the EU, including developing an active eHealth stakeholder community across the EaP region.

• Digital Skills

Through the EU4Digital Initiative, the EU aims to set the basis for digitally empowering one million Eastern Partnership (EaP) citizens via the provision of digital learning opportunities. Bridging the digital divide through a digital competence framework for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and increasing the quality of digital transformation monitoring are focal areas under Digital Skills.
