The Independent Regulators and Broadband Expert Working Group (IRB EWG) of the EaPeReg Network (Eastern Partnership Electronic Communications Regulators Network) has met to discuss assessment of the independence of National Regulatory Authorities (NRAs).
The meeting took place in Heraklion, Greece on 3-4 October, and brought together representatives from all six EaP Countries, including the heads of NRAs, six EU member states, experts from the EU4Digital Facility, World Bank and European Commission.
The meeting was dedicated to the Methodology on assessment of the independence of NRAs.
During the meeting, the outline of the Methodology presented by the EU4Digital Facility experts was adopted by the high-level representatives of the EaP countries.
The meeting also discussed gap analysis reports prepared by the World Bank team, as well as EU best practises on methods of market analysis, progress on Broadband Mapping in Poland and Georgia, as well as the high-level policy making and strategies on broadband development in the Czech Republic.
