EU4Digital pilots in focus at Ukrainian conference on digitalisation of transport
Date: 23/11/21
For the past three years, the EU4Digital Facility has been working to identify, design, and implement a series of activities and pilot projects that will have a tangible impact on business and society across the region.
On 10 November, representatives from the EU4Digital Facility presented several of these at a conference organised by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine on “Digits instead of paper: prospects for the introduction of eCMR in Ukraine”.
The conference was dedicated to issues related to the digitalisation of cargo transportation in Ukraine and abroad by presenting the current state of digitalisation in the Ukrainian transport sector and the level of Ukraine’s readiness for the implementation of the international electronic consignment note (eCMR) — one of the key documents in road transportation.
The EU4Digital Facility together with other participants, including representatives from the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Ministry of Infrastructure, EU programmes, and private sector logistics businesses, discussed the results of actions implemented by the EU4Digital Facility, which impact digital transformation in the area of transport — in particular Digital Transport Corridor, eSignature and eDelivery pilots.
Watch the video from the conference to see how Ukraine is adopting digital solutions built on the experience gained together with EU partners.
