This Action brings together partners from Georgia, Armenia, Moldova and the Czech Republic. Together they exchange practices and develop opportunities for disadvantaged youth for their employability and personal development, including raising awareness, training, integrating digital career counselling into existing supported employment programmes, and stimulating digital entrepreneurship.
The project will be implemented in Georgia (Adjara, Imereti, Samegrelo and Zemo Svaneti regions), Armenia (Shirak, Lori and Tavush regions), and Moldova (Chisinau, Cahul and Ungheni reg regions).
In particular, the Action reaches out to young people with fewer education and employment opportunities and engages them in activities that will foster their participation in the labour market and democratic life. Thanks to that, formal and non-formal structures and initiatives for career and digital skills development will be strengthened, providing quality and relevant services to disadvantaged youth.
The activities cover a range of areas:
- The existing state and civil society organisation-based employment support services are strengthened to include digital career counselling.
- The technical capacity is increased and guidance is provided to civil society organisations working with disadvantaged youth, including persons with disabilities or who are not in education, employment, or training, to upskill target groups in digital competencies to enhance their employment.
- Activating participation of youth in democratic and socioeconomic life by increasing awareness of the opportunities and risks of digitalisation, cyberbullying and counter disinformation, supported by exchanging experiences between civil society organisations, career advisors and young people in Eastern partner countries.
As a direct result of the Action, at least 720 disadvantaged youth including young persons with disabilities and persons who are not in education, employment, or training will upskill their digital skills through enhanced digital career counselling services, development of digital competencies, and awareness raising and networking.
Moreover, 75 career advisors will improve their skills to deliver quality career counselling services to disadvantaged youth. Also, at least 18 civil society organisations from three Eastern partner countries will improve their competencies in the delivery of digital career counselling services and digital skills capacity-building training.
